Exercising my rights

Here's me and English hubby earlier this year doing a little flag-waving.

After 14ish years in the U.S., we both finally became U.S. citizens last January. I remember feeling a little ambivalent about the process, being the proud Canuck that I am, but it was important to both of us given that our daughter is a little American, and the fact that we knew an important election year was coming up.

So off we head to the polls this morning to exercise our voting rights.

p.s. Later: As I was filling out my ballot, Sweetpea kept pulling me down to whisper in my ear who I should vote for. I like that in a four (almost five) year old.
