When we were kids we had a little tooth shaped pillow with a pocket for the boys teeth and one for the girls. We would sleep on the pillow the night we lost the tooth and the tooth fairy would come and put some quarters in the pocket in place of the tooth. Moms are the best at making things exciting for their kids! What a beautiful place! Where are you located? (general)
Glad to see that you arrived safely and are beginning to enjoy English hubby's family and home. Looking forward to seeing Sweepea's toothless gap. Be well and say hello to everyone for us
Danielle and Annje, Sweetpea's tooth was wiggly before we left so we brought the tooth fairy pouch with us! It's a little blue drawstring pouch in which she carefully placed her tooth before putting it under her pillow. In the morning, like magic, the tooth fairy had left two English pounds for her to spend. How *does* that tooth fairy carry such heavy items, Sweetpea wonders.... fairy dust, of course. (I love the pillow idea)
Mom and Dad, that picture *is* of the "gap", moments after the tooth was yanked!
Oh my, this post is so full of nostalgia and homesickness inducing marvelousness!! Congratulations to Sweatpea - very cute gap. Loo says please watch The Night Garden on Cbeebies -so we can talk about upsydaisy and tomblibous....
oh my! love the gap! yippee for sweetpea! that happened fast! mine just said this eve 'i have a loose tooth' and by golly she does! oh the excitement. it's just a slight wiggly. better get on the whole tooth fairy, pillow/pouch do da!
Heavy sigh -- congrats to Sweet Pea on this milestone -- it really is a sign of how quickly things are going in her world.
Julia lost one at the cottage and one on the drive home from the cottage yesterday -- the tooth fairy does a wonderful job of finding the teeth -- if Mama remembers to leave it out.....
We are up to 6 teeth gone now.....and so it goes -- that's only since September. Hold on to your hat.
