dear nanny and papa

Today we all woke up at 6:30 (after going to bed at midnight, including Sweetpea) and by the time we had breakfast at 9:00 we explored new Nintendo DS games, played soccer and swordfighting in the hall, played lion cubs, rehearsed a most excellent Michael Jackson song on the guitars (yet to be performed in public), played piano, bounced on the trampoline, and helped the blog author make waffles.

Then we explored the garden from top to bottom, went in the treehouse, went to the park and played soccer and basketball and made ourselves dizzy on the tire swing. Then we came home for lunch to find that Uncle English Hubby had filled the pool so we played in that for a while until the wind got too cold and we started getting tired and melting down and our parents started thinking that a sunset walk to Turtle Rock might not be such a good idea after all. The aforementioned blog author only got four hours of sleep so we are all a little punchy.

Chili's cooking on the stove, we're watching a funny movie and talking over all the hilarious parts, and we're having a great time so far.

Wish you were here!

  1. looks like the fun has begun in a big way --- fingers crossed for no more melt downs -- time's too short to waste on that kind of carry on -- I'm assuming it was the smallere gals that were having the meltdown...

  2. The fact that my two ATE a mildly spicy chili today is itself amazing.

Looking forward to every moment here - the occasional meltdown or not. ;-)
